Welcome to PFLAG of Polk County, FL

PFLAG is an acronym for Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays. We also welcome parents, families and friends of transgenders. PFLAG is a support group, as well as, an ally for the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender community. We come together to help answer any questions you may have when it comes to the “coming out” process. We also offer support if you find this process difficult. We are people that understand what you are feeling and have been on both sides, whether you have had a loved one come out or you have come out. We have resources to share, such as stories and literature, just to name a few. Some of your questions can be answered via the internet or through our FAQ page. If you would like a more personal way of getting information or just to talk to somebody, please contact us by phone, email or come join us on the 2nd Monday of every month at 7pm. Click on the map link on the right for directions.

It’s a big step to come to one of our meetings, but you are doing it for a loved one. We welcome you with open arms, an open heart and an open mind. We hope to see you at our next meeting.
